Animation Trigger is an entity added all the way back in Mari0: SE that has become a powerful map making tool. This item is a bridge between the levels and animations.

Animation Trigger is invisible when playing the game, only in the editor can it bee seen, it is red box with a slightly transparant middle.

Special Edition (SE)[]

ANIMATION ID - The ID of the animation to be triggered.
PLAYERS ONLY - If the animation trigger is only triggered by players.
SELECT REGION - Used to select the region that will trigger the animation.

Community Edition (CE)[]

ANIMATION ID - The ID of the animation to be triggered.
LINK IN - Used to activate the animation trigger and trigger the animation.

Alesan's Entities (AE)[]

ANIMATION ID - The ID of the animation to be triggered.
LINK TRIGGER - Used to activate the animation trigger and trigger the animation.

Linking[]

This item is an output meaning it can be linked to other items but other items can't be linked to them.

Uses In Game[]

They can be placed on any tile as they wont be seen on game.

They can be used in many useful ways, you can use it to trigger events that can't be done with entities.

This includes things like create dialog, disable player movement, toggle events, load levels and even in AE, transform enemies.
